Independent Press and Print Zine, Sweet-Thang is now accepting submissions for their eighth issue, and for the first time, is able to offer paid commissions to contributors. Sweet-Thang is looking for: photography, collages, poetry, illustrations, journal scans, long + short-form creative writing, speculative fiction, and personal essays. Submit your pitch here.

The film MALA MALA offers another glimpse into queer and trans life in Puerto Rico, showcasing both the triumphant highs and heartbreaking lows in the struggle for personal and community acceptance on the island. A screening of the film will be held at The Brick on Monday, October 28 to commemorate the movie's 10th anniversary. Plus, don’t miss a pre-film performance by writers club member and drag artist, Soraya Sis.
