Hi Writers,
We’ve been having so much fun writing our hearts out this month. Now, something’s telling us it’s time to share our work with the world.
Introducing The Language of Liberation Open Mic Series, hosted by writer and organizer Jenna Patel 💖
We’re handing the mic to writers, artists, and organizers to imagine and build toward collective liberation. By sharing feelings, memories, and visions, this series aims to create space to sustain our liberatory spirit and imagination.
We’re proud to partner with Shut it Down For Palestine Coalition’s Central Brooklyn Contingent, who will be selling art to raise funds for the Middle Eastern Children’s Alliance.
🎙️ First Event: The Locus of Love <3
Friday, February 28, 7PM @ Artshack Cafe
Exploring radical love—in our relationships with ourselves, friends, partners, and communities. Bring your poetry, prose, and passion. The mic is yours!
Apply to the Spring Writing Salon by Feb 22!
The Writers Club Spring Salon is a sacred literary space to build and workshop your writing project. This salon is for BIPOC writers who have 5-15 pages of prose ready to workshop.

Six weeks of accountable writing time
A group of trusted early readers
Practice giving and receiving writing feedback
A polished (and submittable) piece of writing
An opportunity to read their work at a culminating reading
We will meet weekly on Mondays from March 24-April 28 at Index Space (120 Walker St) from 7:00-9:30 PM EST.
Love truly,
