Writers, we are soooo ready for Friday’s open mic!

And joining us front and center is our host Jenna Patel, a close friend of the writers club, tremendous poet, and amazing community organizer.

Throughout today, we will be offering $10 community tickets, so grab yours and join us this Friday (7 PM) at Artshack Cafe for a starlit stage where you and others can confess your true love, or listen to others read.

About Jenna Patel ✨

Jenna is an Indian-American poet, organizer, and constant student of history and humanity. She is the eldest daughter to Indian migrants of East Africa, and was born and raised in Lenni Lenape land (currently Morristown, NJ).

Her writing spans various themes, from her reckonings as a child of the diaspora to her passion for a revolution against imperialism, and towards collective liberation. At her core, she is a radical empath, lover of art in all its forms, and an adrenaline junkie.
